Cape Fear EMS Foundation Scholarships
Overview
The Cape Fear EMS Foundation is proud to invest in the next generation of emergency medical professionals. Through our Curriculum (CU) Scholarship and Continuing Education (CE) Scholarship, we provide financial support to students and EMS providers dedicated to advancing their training and serving our communities in the Cape Fear region.

Curriculum (CU) Scholarship
Purpose: Supports students pursuing EMS-related degrees at accredited institutions.
Award Amount: Up to $1,000 total
- $250 per semester up to 4 consecutive semesters (maximum $1,000)
Eligibility:
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA each semester
- Residency required in Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, or Columbus County.

Continuing Education (CE) Scholarship
Purpose: Assists EMS professionals pursuing advanced certifications by providing direct educational support and reimbursement.
Award Amount: Up to $500 total
- Direct Educational Support: Up to $250 for textbooks, course fees, uniforms, background checks, or drug testing.
- Completion Reimbursement: Up to $250 after submitting proof of successful course completion.
Eligibility:
- Must be an actively credentialed EMS professional in good standing with the NC Office of EMS.
- Must be enrolled in an Advanced EMT or Paramedic class at a Cape Fear Region NC Community College.
- Residency required in Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, or Columbus County.
