Continuing Education (CE) Scholarship
Purpose
The Continuing Education (CE) Scholarship supports EMS professionals who are advancing their training and skills through formal coursework. By offsetting the cost of tuition, textbooks, uniforms, fees, and other required expenses, this scholarship helps reduce financial barriers so providers can focus on their education. Our goal is to invest in the professional growth of EMS personnel, strengthen the quality of care in the Cape Fear region, and ensure that motivated providers have the resources they need to successfully complete Advanced EMT or Paramedic programs.
Eligibility
Must be an actively credentialed EMS professional in good standing with the NC Office of EMS
Must be enrolled in an Advanced EMT or Paramedic class at a Cape Fear Region NC Community College
Resident of Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, or Columbus County
Meets any additional requirements outlined in the full scholarship guidelines
Application Timeline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed as they are received.
Award Amount
Award Amount: Up to $500 total
Direct Educational Support: Up to $250 for textbooks, course fees, uniforms, background checks, or drug testing.
Completion Reimbursement: Up to $250 after submitting proof of successful course completion.
Use of Funds
Scholarship funds are designated for tuition, mandatory fees, required textbooks, and specific program-related expenses at accredited EMS degree programs.
