Curriculum (CU) Scholarship
Purpose
The Curriculum (CU) Scholarship represents our steadfast commitment to fostering excellence within the Emergency Medical Services field. This dedicated financial program is specifically designed to support aspiring healthcare professionals as they pursue rigorous EMS-related degree programs at accredited institutions throughout the expansive Cape Fear Region. By offering significant financial assistance, we aim to eliminate fiscal barriers and empower the next generation of life-saving experts, ensuring they have the resources necessary to complete their specialized education and serve our community with distinction and skill.
Eligibility
Enrolled or planning to enroll in an EMS-related degree program at an accredited institution
Minimum 3.0 GPA each semester
Resident of Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, or Columbus County
Meets any additional requirements outlined in the full scholarship guidelines
Application Timeline
Spring 2026
- Application Opens: September 1, 2025
- Application Deadline: October 15, 2025
- Award Notification: November 15, 2025
Fall 2026
- Application Opens: February 1, 2026
- Application Deadline: March 15, 2026
- Award Notification: April 15, 2026
Award Amount
Up to $1,000 total — $250 per semester for up to 4 consecutive semesters (maximum $1,000), contingent on maintaining eligibility.
Use of Funds
Scholarship funds are designated for tuition, mandatory fees, required textbooks, and specific program-related expenses at accredited EMS degree programs.
